Default SX40hs zoom demo...

Just trying out my new toy- first chance for days due to awful weather...!
A basic demo of the zoom power for those who are interested...
First three from same spot on Bangor pier... the next was just a Nikon shooter..!

G'day Simon

Nice comparisons mate
Any others in the pipeline, maybe closer than infinity to show us more of the lens's capabilities?

ps- doesn't owning a nikon make you a "real tuff perfeshonal fotografer"?

Regards, Phil

Hi charmin- I'm afraid I've since deleted those zoom shots(and the Exif data with them!)- however I'm pretty sure I used program mode, iso 100,all handheld, zoom of 24,300(ish) and 840mm- and a bit of negative exposure comp dialled in(-2/3) on the 840mm one to avoid burning the highlights.
The one of the girl in the gig(Charli Lamont- one heck of a voice..!) was taken in aperture priority- 1/60th sec,f/5,iso 1600 at roughly 280mm,hand held.
