Default Pictures taken with the Powershot A40

These are the pictures I've taken with the Powershot A40 (1 year old). I still think it can take great pictures. But it doesn't have that many options as the A60. And the macro-mode isn't very impressive.

What do you think of the pictures. The pictures are only resized.

Thanks for sharing. Great picture. Did you take those with a tripod? I have never been able to get a sharp picture out of A40 by holding the camera

I have the A40 and it takes nicer pics with less noise than most digitals at 2MP. Can't wait for my ixus 400 to arrive

Thanx for the replies.
I didn't use a tripod. The Powershot A40 is just a great point-and-shoot digicam. The Powershot a40 has manual mode, but it's very limit. You can only choose from a large ande small aparture.

The shadow is a bit to dark, but I like that way.

Hi Janet,

I've been to the fountains and i took great pics with my A40! You have to turn flash off for all night time pics, otherwise the shutter won't stay open long enough to capture the lights. This is true for all cameras. So just turn flash off and then rest the camera on something or use a tripod and whallah, brilliant pics such as this one i took of bellagio fountains in action at night:

and also this one..
