Default 5D3 and the EX600 radio flash

I just came across a YouTube clip where Chuck Westfall of Canon USA demos the radio mode settings in the 5D3. Using the 5D3 you can wirelessly set the flash to be a master or slave. As you would with a PocketWizard. Does this also mean the 5D3 will be able to trigger the flash in radio mode? Or, would you still need the new RT transmitter sitting on the 5D3?

Obviously it's early...being as the 5D3 and the RT flash..won't hit the market for another month or two. But perhaps some one might know still?

Sorry, you have to buy the nice, expensive radio transmitter. The 5diii does not have it built-in.

Didn't think so. Would have been nice if they DID include it in the 5D3. More money for Canon.

True, but the 600EX RT does have a transmitter built-in (optical and radio), so if you have the combo you're good to go.
