Default Canon S100 digital teleconverter

Hi Folks,

I just got a Canon S100 a few days ago and am loving it so far. One thing I can't figure out is the "digital zoom" or "digital teleconverter". I've seen it does a good job but when I go into the menu and navigate to "digital zoom" it only gives me two options: "standard" and "off" nothing about 1.5x or 2x. Am I missing something here?

Thanks, Stuart

G'day Stuart

I would presume that the S100 being aimed at a 'weekend-photographer' market is just offering the single digital zoom setting
It's pretty normal to see only the "standard" digizoom ... often it's around 1,4x in power
And - there's always an 'off' setting too

Enjoy it as much as you can !!
Regards, Phil

I gave Canon a call and did a "reset all" from within the tools menu and that brought the 1.5x and 2.0x options back.

Another thing that disables Digital Zoom is shooting in RAW. So check your settings and make sure RAW and RAW + JPEG are turned off.
