Default bounce? Whats that?

I have had my canon poweshot G2 for almost a year now, i've just taken pics without messing with many settings, but last night while messing around I seen the bounce setting, im still not sure what exactly it is, but now i dont remember how I found it in the first place.
Could anyone explain this to me! It would be greatly appreciated!

well there should be a manual that came with your camera.......if you read that (i did )
you should learn ALOT about the camera.....unless you want manuals about the "photography" part of it......then there are books all over the place you can get

aack! you didn't get a camera manual with it?! i got two.....(one in spanish though :/ ) You might be able to download a .pdf file of the manual......not sure though.....if you can i suggest reading the ENTIRE thing.....then you'll know how to do everything and know everything your camera can do (which in this case is alot )
