Default Help me please ! ! Canon Pro1 or Pentax istD

I've got actually a SLR pentax camera, and a pentax optio 430rs, and i want to buy a Digital SLR, to keep my lens.

But due to the high price of pentax ist D, i wonder, why not to buy a Canon Pro 1 or maybe coolpix 8700? is a good choice?

Obviously asuming to lose all my lenses from pentax.

I've seen posts from folks who bought the istD because they already had Pentax lenses, only to find out most of the functions weren't useable with their lenses, so don't assume your current set of lenses will work perfectly with the new istD.

That said, if you can afford it, the istD is what I'd buy. DSLR's have much better ultimate image quality than any non-interchangeable lens digicam, no matter how many megapixels the digicam would have. If you don't want to mess alot with photoshop or some other form of tweaking your DSLR images (unavoidable), just go for the digicam and be happy!
