Default Canon S500

Just got one of these great cameras. I wanted a point and shot camera that was small enough to fit my pocket, quality build and pictures with easy to use controls. It was a close run thing with the DSC-V!, but I prefered the controls on the S500, plus its a neater package. This camera is fast with a boot time of between one and two seconds. The picture colour accuracy and focus is amazing in any light conditions. No problems with CCD noise, its much better than my old 2.3 megapixel camera. It takes great shots in almost complete darkness. The focus is spot on because of the AF assist lamp.

I coudn't agree more. I haven't had a chance to make "nice" photo's (just playing around. But all the shots inside and outside look great. And I'm very impressed with the macro mode. Made a great photo of a cookie. [/img]

Default S500

I'm impressed with the ability of the S500 to shoot 16 photos at full res before it needs to save to memory. I could only take between three and five shots before a save to memory was needed on my old camera.
