No, that would take too much time

Well, I started a little on what they complained on (the low scores they gave in the beginning for focusing and CCD and more) but they mostly just gave the specifications and not much of their own words, like no focus assist lamp, CCD is only 1/2.7, and so on and we all already know that

I dont know if this review is better than anyone else out there, I dont think so. Towards the end they come with own thoughts in more depth though.
I'll give you some small stuff they wrote, I'm no good in norwegian either

AF full tele: 1.0s, at least 30LUX needed for AF to work.
AF full wide: 0.5s, at least 10LUX needed for AF to work.
Low light up to 1.5s
There are cameras in this class that are better on this.

The optics are very sharp, they say the displays brighten up when low light so no problem, except the AF wont work too well.

They think its a bit expensive (value 67%)

They talk about the objective vignetting the picture as all other 10x zoom.....I didn't know anything about that, what do they mean???

Good macro but with a bit low magnification, small CCD gives noise specially with higher ISO. Low resolution displays (we all knew that) and I THINK they say its clearly visible in sunlight (or they say the swiwel is good to have in sunlight I dont know).

Well, thats some of the most interresting parts....

Yeah, they said the lcd worked good in sun light anyway because you could flip it around.

Something more from Akamera's test:
"S1 is not perfect but we think that is the best compact-camera from Canon. Camera's design and draft are new and Canon did a very good job.
We were unsure to give 4 or 5 but the good experience to using this camera persuaded oss to give a 5.
It's a pity with the slow AF-speed. It means it will be difficult with sport or action.
+ :Auto macro, IS, good movie, revolving LCD, using-friendly.
- :Low AF-speed, bad LCD under bright light, EVF could be better but the most important: too expensive!!!
They, as all the reviwers, recommend to look at theirs pictures to judge the quality"

At www.cyberphoto.se you will find another test and this Thomas gives to S1 "topclass" togheter with Oly C760. Many pictures too.

Use manual focus. It's working very well. Remember that the DOF (Deep Of Field) is very good with digicams.
