Default 3MP version of the A40?

Hi there

I think that it would be cool if Canon expanded their Powershot A series to include higher resolution versions for larger prints. They seem to be great little cameras, a decent shape and size with good flexibility (different lenses, underwater, manual controls, long shutter times etc.).

If they made a 3MP A40 (an A50?) I'd buy it right now!

Hi neepheid,

I must also agree with you that the "A" series that Canon has brought out is very impressive. I own the Powershot A30, and since it is my first digital camera - the 1.2MP resolution provides a very sharp image for what I want it for.

There is already an A50 available and the write-up of this camera can be found here
However it is only a 1.3MP camera.

Cheers!
