I am currently travelling in Europe and when a Kodak store tried to transfer images from my S50's CF to a CD (using a USB CF reader), they corrupted my CF. Now, instead of reconizing it as 256MB, Windows, and most image recovery softwares only reconize it as 30MB. I tried one image recovery software that recovered 27 images out of 100. I am not sure if this is because of the wrong capacity reconized by Windows and other image recovery softwares or something else. Has anyone experiences this kind of problem?

Thanks for the help,

Jason

Problem Solved.

The problem was finally resolved by reformatting the CF using the camera to restore the file system so the computer and the image resoring program would recongnize it as a 256MB CF. Once we did that, the image recovery software was able to recover all but a few pictures.
