I am interested to know what hyperfocal settings people are using (S1-is esp) and if anybody knows of a good article online?

i use this especially when i know the light level is way too low for autofocusing,or even getting a proper light metering.

a decent setting would be to set camera on apature priority,focal length to 5.6,asa to 200,flash on,manual focus to approx 6 feet,and save this to custom on the control dial.

for daylight shooting bh photo web site has a great calculator,

Use this calculator. Make sure to use the actual (versus 35mm equivalent) focal length of the lens:
