The Powershot G6 people. But will it be worth the 899,00 Euros. It really doesn't offer a lot compared to the G3 and G5. It has less zoom, but at least the lens is futher from the flash and the opticalviewer. What are your thoughts?

Can anyone translate the Euros price to Dollars, or is it not directly exchangable due to tariffs or something?

Thanks

That would be 1,103.25 USD according to the currency converter on www.onlineconversion.com.

Certainly Canon would not be crazy enough to put a new camera that is priced more than both the Pro1 and the DRebel. I cannot imagine that it would have enough features to make it worth the while.

Nothing new here... Expect more cameras to come from the next crop of the Sony's 1/1.8" 7MPixels CCD between now and Photokina : http://www.imaging-resource.com/NEWS/1090382420.html

I bet it will be available in black – silver doesn't appeal to the crowd that would buy a G series.

I was hoping the new G6 would go the route of the S600 with a 28mm wide. I would guess they dropped a power to eliminate some of the purple fringing. It might have better optical qualities than the G5, but the noise will probably be higher.
