Has anyone tried to record back pictures taken with S1 from computer to S1 again and show them with camera? I.e. by TV.

I have just tried to copy the same old picturesto the CF card and show them on the camera display.Uploaded the pictures using ZoomBrowser (Canon's own program) and Windows Explorer but no pictures where shown on the display.

I guess the camera makes a temp file on the CF card with info of the pictures when you shoot them and after upload the temp file is deleted.

I did the same try and I believe that the original is not compressed.

I mailed to Canon and I still wait for the answer.

I got this answer from Canon.

1. Open Zoombrowser with S1 connected to the computer.

2.Click: Camera & Memory Cardon ZoomBrowser.

3. Click: Upload Images.

4. Select the pictures You want upload.

5.Click: Open Camera Window.

6. Select if You want the pictures in the original size or resize them.Click: OK.

It's working for me. I could see them both on camera or TV.

I suppose it's working only with pictures taken with the same camera.

Did You tried to rotate them back? I suppose that the format 1536x2048 will not be accepted by camera.

It will also work even if the picture is taken on different digicam.

Shades of Nikon. Will modified EXIF info not be recognized?

Seems odd as its Canon's software.
