There's rumor running around DPreview forum that some people has bought new camera with this new firmware 1.0.2.0.

I think Canon is doing a great job releasing new firmwares to improve/fix their product.

We should have a wish list compiled so they know what consumer wants out of the next firmware update.

Here's mine, hopefully it's in the 1.0.2.0 .

1: Fix CF compatibility issue

2: Support RAW image format.

3: Fix freezing during non-continuous focus mode. (I know this freezing also exist in the Pro 1).

4: Flash fill-in option (can u guys do this?) during daytime photography.

5: User option to enable "noise reduction" when shots are taken under 1.3 sec.

6: Can be used as WEBCAM.

7: Enable USB 2.0 transfer speed (probalby not possible through firmware, but doens't hurt to ask. :-)

8: Improve slow-focusing during video-mode.

9: Remove(1GB) length limitation during video mode.

If Canon do all of these upgrades, I promise to buy only Canon product, I swear!

can't think of anything else out of this great cam. Can u guys help me out???

point 4 - flash fill in during daytime photography?

I think you can. In modes other than auto, just push the flash button. One of the options is for a flash to appear with an arrow up, and sure enough, the flashpops up for you when you go to take the picture. Its not available under auto mode for some reason. I hope this is what you were referring to. If not, please explain.

I second your #1 request. My Kingston 1G card that I bought 2 weeks agocan only record about 13 seconds at the highest setting. I have a 512M Ridata from 3 years ago that runs the entire card.

Skip my useless posts and see post from Sep 13th/14th on another firmware update. The newer firmware is out. It solved my CF issues. I was about to e-bay my card and buy a different brand.
