Is it possible to use my Canon A75 as a video monitor for my computer, instead of buying a separate video camera?

I assume you mean use your A75 as a web camera. This will probably be more trouble than it's worth.

You'd need to use the video out from the camera, into the video in of a TV Tuner type video card in the PC.

IMO, you're better off buying a separate Web Cam. I'll move this question to the Canon Forum, in case users there have figured out a better way to do it.

I don't recommend using expensive CCD based digicams to replace inexpensive CMOS based webcams.

CCDs generate heat and after a while of use hot pixels...eventually those hot pixels will become stuck pixels that will appear in EVERY pictures.

Spend the $20 for a webcam.

Thanks, everyone. If I can think of a good reason to GET a webcam, that will certainly be the way I go. Appreciate your time in responding. JPC
