Hi to everyone, I bought the A85 a few weeks ago. I am very pleased with the camera, yesterday I bought a 512mbCFcard, and to my surprise, the camera only allows toshoot 30 secondsmovies in 640x480movievideo mode :O. I thought that the camera would allow movies until the CF tops out, like the NikonCoolpix series.

Is there a way to unlock the 30 seconds restriction in the 640x480movie mode, and all other movie sizes???

I am guessing that the reason is because the VGA movie is stored in the Camera's buffer first before it writes to the memory card. I don't really know... it is just a thought.

You need to check some Canon hacking forums... going that route might void your warranty though...
