Hello,
I am searching for some people who have nice samples they shot with the s70. I have looked everywhere and can only manage to find someones s70 wedding photos... which are pretty bad.

I am interested in the macro performance and the cameras overal sharpness.
Anybody have any input?

Is the macro on the s70 better than that of the a95?

Thanks
Josh.

Hey Josh, I just purchased the Canon S70 from Dell fro $424.00 after a special they had going. but still had to pay taxes.Still a good deallfrom a reputable name. and tried the macro shots. Pretty Amazing stuf. I still havent read the manual yet and figured out how to use it. Check this out. It was a 1.5 MB file but had to compress to152kb for this post. I have others. One of a accidentalwound on my ankle when my bicycle sproketteeth got jammed intoit. But I dont think anyone wants to see that....

I have 3 digital camera's, 5 megpic Kodak, Canon 10D and my latest purchase, a Canon S70.

I bought the S70 because of the size and read many positive reviews on the picture quailty. I think the reviews are correct, excellent Point and Shoot camera, not a Canon 10D , but I didn't expect it to be.

I rate the Macro capability as excellent. I have attached a picture I took with a tripod, no flash, no processing except to crop and resize it in Photoshop Elements.

The size limitation makes it hard to show how good this photo is, but hopefully you can get an idea from it.

Well my photo came out small, I'll try again, S70, macro mode, hand held, flash, and cropped in Elements.

Thanks
