Hello, we just got a new A400 for Christmas and want to purchase an additional SD memory card. I'd like to get a 1 Gig card but Canon only makes a 256. Can anyone recommend compatible card to use with our new (first digital) camera?

I'm pretty sure that any make of SD card will work fine in your A400, so don't worry about getting a Canon brand one (despite what the A400 manual says). I myself have an A400 and am currently looking for a new memory card. Sandisk seems to be the most popular brand.

well, we ended up getting a Sandisk 256 card, just a basic one, not ultra or extreme. Works great, we are making mini movies and shoot pictures like there is no tomorrow.

hey, how bout this movie mode.....pretty sweet and the audio is really good too.
