I have a new Powershot S70. Takes wonderful images. But the thing went crazy. Autorotate is "On". After rotating verticle shots as it should, the camera suddenly decided to invert images and/or not rotate them. Looking at the little sensor icon on the LCD, sometimes it rotates from horizontal to verticle, sometimes not. A little tap usually gets it into action. Has anyone seen this? It is not normal and I'll contact Canon tech. More after that.

Yah...probably a faulty sensor. That's what happens when folks add extra little gadgets and things into devices. The more we put in, the more can go wrong (or go faulty).

My new A95 had the same problem. Took it back to the dealer and got a new camera and it is fine now. I suggest you do the same.
