Anybody know the solution, which I imagine is simple, to my constantly finding the corners of shots taken in any regular phocus modes being shadowed?

maybe try rotating the lens hood while viewing the screen at wide angle. That is if it is attached to the camera, if not i have no idea...

A number of cameras, including the Pro 1, will show some vignetting when the lens isusedat larger apertures. This is more visible in photos with smooth light colours in the corners, like blue sky, or a light coloured wall behind a person. Not much you can do about it except use apertures that are smaller than F5.0 or F5.6 The vignetting will be lower and is usually gone by F5.6
