Does the Digital Macro of the Sd-200 have any advantage over regular macro photos taken with the S-410 ?
Is it worth switching from the S410 for medical close up photography ?

No, I don't think that you should switch over. Digital macro fixes your lens at wideangle and uses digital zoom to zoom in on the macro subject. Thus, degrading your pictures. Not sure why anyone would want to use it, though - Must be some quirkyCanon invention:?.The normal macro on your S410 is just fine.
