I just purchased a Canon Powershot Pro1, read a lot of negative and positive things about it but my question for you all, does your Pro 1 make a sound when you zoom in and out? mine makes a slight clutter sound. is this normal?

Yes, there is a motor based noise that is somewhat prominent when zooming in and out. It is normal.

Hi there!
This sound is something like a not continuous "CRRRRR..." grinding noise? especially when you zoom in and out at low speed?
At fast speed do you hear this sound again? Because I don't with my camera.

My S1 has this kind of sound and it is powered also by an UltraSonic motor. Do not know if this is normal... but I didn't get worst till now, but found the noise about a month after I bought the camera so it was not present at the beginning.

Cheers!
