Just bought a FZ-5 and here are my first pics made a couple hours ago.

First impressions :

what i really really loved is the powerfull Leica lens.....once you try one of these superzoom cameras you just cannot go back to an 35mmx114mm lens camera.

Wonder if the lens of the KM Z3 is as good ...? can anyone tell me ?

What i didn`t like is that the batteries don`t last long enough and taking pics in dark places is a pain because you just don`t see anything on the evf & lcd screens.

click on "TAKEN WITH PANASONIC FZ-5"

Pictures 198-199-203-204-210-211-239-240 are takenboth oncein38mm & then in 420mm to show zoom capabilities.
IMPRESSIVE LEICA LENS

I think comparing S2 with similar cameras is quite appropriate, though the FZ5 does seem to have taken over the discussion a bit. It would be nice to see a shootout review for the Canon S2, Dimage Z5, Panasonic DMC-FZ5 and Sony DSC-H1. The Canon has some nice features on it (like manual focus for one) which are missing on the FZ5. The lens quality will decide it for me and I think the Leica lens will take some beating. I noticed the indoor shots on the Canon site had significant magenta/green fringing, but the outdoor shot looked fantastic.
