Recently purchased a Canon SD500, and I must say I am very happy withthe camera. Most of the image issues I was having with my DSC W1 are gone, and the SD500 is a very compact, yet powerful digicam.

However I am concerned about the LCD when zooming - it's fluid without lag at wide angle, but tends to slow down as I increase the zoom. Is this Ok with the SD500 - or something wrong with my unit?

Please share your experiences.

My Ixus 700 (SD500)'s LCD is smooth at telephoto though it slows down a little when using digital zoom.

Thanks Ixus 700.

My LCD alsoseems to be fine at telephotowhen the light is good...tried with good ambient light and nosluggishness.

Let me try again in low light conditions.

Also need to test if it has something to do with moving subjects - the LCD felt sluggish indoors at night (under fluroscent lighting) while my young daughter was moving around.
