Sometimes when I look at the LCD on my A510 I see some vertical blue/whitestreaks that come and go. If I move the camera away from light they seem to disappear and they never show up on any pictures. Is this normal or is there some kind of problem with the LCD in the camera?

Yes... I agree. It's normal. It happens on my canon G6 too. I don't know why it happens on the G6, but doesn't happen for my old nikon 950. It makes me wonder why the camera companies these days are pushing onto us customers products with glitchy behaviours that one would never expect.
