Hi, I need a digicam pretty soon for a trip, and was wondering if the sd400 was also prone to lcd cracking or breaking as the sd200 and sd300??? I have looked throughout the forums, but this issue has not been addressed for this particular model. Please help me out!!! Thanks in advance..... Also, any opinions on the picture quality of this camera? Compared to the s500???

Hi there,

If you're really worried about the screen, take a look at 'da products. They have LCD protectors that sit on the LCD frame and over the LCD. The protection is in the form of plastic glass. This would definitely prevent any cracking of the camera's LCD.

I ordered the 'da Oly Protectorâ„¢ for my SD500 from www.daproducts.com . It should be arriving this week, or the next, so i will report on how it goes.

Cheers.
