Default S230/IxusV3 w/ 3X zoom on the way, u think?

I really like the 230 except for one thing - the 2X optical zoom. Know of any inside news on future models with 3X optical in the same package dimensions?

I don't know how you can like it, 50% of the pictures are blurred so bad as to be worthless. The 3x zoom would make it even worse. I am really sorry I bought the camera. I also have a g3 and I would call it a marginal camera. The pictures are okay but the flash is not very good. not enough power. The lens cap is worthless it will not stay on for anything. I am not real fond of the battery it does not have very good life. Too much trouble to change setting without the book. The only thing I really like is the remote control.

Wow! 50%!

Would you say that the pics are blurry because of poor focus, or camera shake, or poor image processing by the camera?

I also had the S230 with very bad focusing problems. If you turn off the AiAF function and using only center focusing, then it works much better. Maybe I had a bad unit. I returned it for the S330. Is focuses much better, but performs badly in low light situations (noise at anything higher than ISO 100). I'm glad I still have my Olympus C3020.
