I'm looking for the post where someone made their own lens cover for the lens shade for an S2 IS. I know I read it here but didn't make note of it at the time.

Help!!

Sorry I can't refer you to the post you mentioned, but perhaps you might consider using the Lensmate adapter instead. It will offer the best protection for the lens and mechanism, and allow you to use various filters, too. On both my G6 and S2 I have Lensmate 52mm adapters, Hoya HMV UV filters, and a clip-on lens cap. Here's the link:
