hey guys how are you all doin . well guys as the title says any A620 reviews around been looking around but all i keep getting is press releases, could their be a site i missed?

i've been given the option of replacing my p-200 and after much searching i came across theA620 and it appears to be the perfect camera for me. my only concern now is the startup and shot to shot time of the A620, i mean the p-200 spoilt me and anything not equal to its speed seems to run at a snails pace.
so guys anyone has a site with detailed specs of the camera's times?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :-).

Regards,
A. J.

Although I haven't found any reviews as yet and I'm trying to resist the temptation of preordering without reading any, I recommend the BeBit page for a fairly comprehensive list of specs. etc. You can find it at;

Did you notice on that site that all the sample pictures were taken in AV mode? Does this mean something???? On the S80 site, the samples are all taken in auto mode.:?

I stand corrected; the S80's shots are all in AV mode also - what could this mean? I want an automatic point and shoot.

the camera offers full auto operation as well.. Av stands for aperture-priority.. so you set the aperture and then the camera picks the shutter speed...

What I meant was, why did they shoot the samples in AV mode? I have had 2 S series cameras and been very satisfied with the quality of the images but was just wondering why they didn't show them in P mode, which is what I shoot in.

they more than likely shot in Av mode so they could control the depth of field better, which would allow them a little more freedom to get the effect they were wanting..

learning to use Av would be a nice next step for you in photography...

So how different will the 620 be then the S70? I know it willÂ* have plastic housing (at least I think) and the lens will not be as wide angle...will this be a faster, better camera?Thanks

I got to handle a 620 today and with 4 AA batteries it is a bit heavy and bulkier to me than the S60 or 70, so it will be much bulkier than the 80. I still don't know how to determine the difference in speed from the A620 and the S60/70, it would be nice to have an idea, and since I am really first buying a good digital I don't know how to tell...
