A friend of mine has the A510, her 5 year old son got ahold of the camera and put his finger in the lens cover somehow and tweaked it, now it's stuck closed and overlapping in a corner.

Has anyone had this problem before, I'm sure it's fairly common because of the thinness of the part and the seemingly complex operation. Any thoughts on how I should fix this or repair costs if you have had it fixed?

Thanks , she's kind of upset about it happening

I fixed it... the cover was a little jammed down so I got out a sharp knife with a thin tip and put a little pressure under the cover and it clicked up...works great now.
I guess it's another good reason to have a nicely balanced henckels knife.
