I wanted a little stick-in-your-shirt-pocket-and-take-it-everywhere camera. So, I got the new A410. This thing is so fast it shoots the picture and shows it on the screen before you even think you pushed the shutter button. Unfortunately, even the new Digic II processing system can't make up for the hopelessly small ccd. Pictures are very noisy. Even in good light at 50 ISO setting you'll see it. It's so bad that Canon deleted the 400 ISO setting on this camera. It only goes to 200. Ergonomics are great and it's simple controls are a delight. I don't think it will last long though as the little door for the SD card is also the same one for the batteries. You have to apply some pretty strong leverage on the door to press the battery springs down every time you take the card out, and put it back in. The USB port has one of those horrible little rubber doors thatwon't lasta week. Nice stab at a tiny camera, Canon, but you missed the mark with the poor image quality. Bad camera, BAD! BAD!
I think I'll take it back for a A610 and just live with the bump in my pocket.
