Default New Canon SLR

My D30 broke last night after 2 years of quality pictures. I've been wanting to upgrade anyway, but I didn't expect it to break. I am travelling to Asia next week and need a new Digital SLR ASAP. I called B&H and they said that the D60 is not only out of stock, but discontinured. They said that a new model is in the works and will be released in the next few months.

Do you know anything about their new camera?

There will be a new dSLR announced at PMA but it won't be available until April or May. Details will be announced just prior to PMA which is first of next month.

Default It's suppose to be called the D90 or D80.

It's suppose to be called the D90 or D80. Hopefully it is the same price.

The only rumors I've read so far are:
1) 8 megapixel resolution.

HOPEFULLY it is a full 35 mm frame size like the 1Ds.

2) Body based on the EOS 3.

YIPEE! Hopefully this means that autofocus is much faster overall, that we can a true spotmeter, that we can get faster than 3 fps shooting speed.

Wishes:
1) Firewire connectivity

I'm holding off on any DSLR purchase until this comes out and I can compare it to the Fujifilm S2 Pro (which has a resolution equivalent to about 9 megapixels, has faster autofocus, and has lower noise overall than the D60).
