I own an A610 and I know the Remote Capture does`n work! This option is available only on A620 model.

"PC-controlled Shooting:........(PowerShot A620 only)" - quote from `Advanced Camera User Guide`p.120

Whay Steve`s review (for A610) says it works on A610,and in `Camera Window` exemple it`s Canon PowerShot A520?

Whith all my respect for "Steve`s digicams" this review is misleading.

The review of the A610 is updated now. The page on remote shooting has been removed, and the software page mentions that remote shooting is not available on the A610.

The "updated" A610 review still says mentions "camera control with the RemoteCapture software".

Please edit the above sentence toclarify that remote shooting is not possible with this camera. Yes I know you already said so on another page, but the above sentence is still misleading.
