Default S230 Movies & Windows Media Player

I tried to play a movie using Windows Media Player. All I got was the audio. I got an error that said "error downloading codec." I called Canon tech support and they said to download the mjpeg codec from anywhere. Why wouldn't they include it with the camera's software? All of the ones I found must be purchased. Anybody have any luck finding a good/free place to get the required codec? Seems stupid that Canon doesn't give you a working setup.

I agree with slr, use the Quicktime software that came with your camera.
