Default finepix 3800 or powershot a40 ??

Hi,

I am looking for a quality digital point and shoot that has a reasonable price tag. I have narrowed down my choices to either the fuji finepix 3800 ($599 Canadian) or the canon powershot a40 ($399 Canadian). I understand that the fuji has 3.1 MP and a 6X optical zoom compared to the powershot's 2.0 MP and 3X zoom, but how about picture quality ???

anyone have an opinion on which one is better ?

thanx !

A40 is GREAT, dont know about the 3800.
Think you should wait for the A70 though...

If you are looking for just a point and shoot, and do not need to print images larger than 5x7, then may I suggest you consider the Fuji 2800? It has 6x optical and 2 mp. In the U.S. at Circuit City, I recently saw the sale price of US$299. I have recommended a friend last summer to purchase this digicam (US$399 then) and he took beautiful pics.

Can we connect 2800 to a TV to view pictures?
