VideoSilva - JackScott:

You lost me. I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean by the "Fog Effect".

I'll take a wild guess here - are you talking about how the background has a soft out-of-focus look to it? Before I launch into an explanation, could you define your meaning a bit?

Sorry Setiprime ....... I thought Videosilva was referring to an effect found in the camera settings (like "beach" etc in the Scene Mode).

After reading other posts of him/her, I believe the reference may be to "foggy focus" (although I don't see it in YOUR pictures)

I recently bought an S2 IS and I'm encouraged by your pictures.

Thanks

JS

Thanks JockScott - I read so manygrumbles about how the S2 won't do this-or-that, I had to put my 2 cents in. The S2 is a really nice camera and CAN produce some veryfine images however, a little work on the part of the operator is required !

I was afraid the reference to "Foggy" might have been regarding aperture/focal length/depth of field. That would require a fairly long and detailed response.

Thanks for the insight.

Setprime-

I have certainly enjoyed your posted photos. They are great. Thanks also for mentioning your wife. It is nice to hear how much she is doing.

Like you I am also a professional. I conduct digital camera workshops for Nikon Camera as well as my own workshops. I generally speak to about 10,000 folks each year. And by the way I am also a female.
