For those of you following my previous threads - 1st impressions and 2nd impressions....I've put up a few more shots for your review. Used the Macro function and even more impressed with this camera. "Point and Shoot on Steroids".

VWMOM - All other shots on the site are taken with either the canon 300D or my 20D. I shoot horse shows during the season. I bought the S2 for "casual" shooting when I don't need to drag $M's of gear along with me.

I shoot in AV mode for the majority of my sessions. The S2 has a very nice DSLR feel to the controls. Camera movement is my biggest problem (gettin' old and shakey).

The hi-speed burst is really sweet (especially for butterflies).

I generally use ISO 400 for indoor stuff - and clean them up with 'Noise Ninja. A very nice program by the way.

VWMOM - yup, mostly cause guys lust after gadgets!

However - I got my wife into photography as part of rehab after her two small strokes. She still needs technical help at times. She has her own gallery and accounted for 30% of our horse event sales last season.

Sharon has what photographers call "The Eye". That undefineable quality of seeing something others miss and just shooting it. Later, on review, it jumps off the screen and you have to say 'wow'. It keeps me humble.

The trick is to get out and shoot on a regular basis, and DO NOT expect too much from yourself or the camera - generally it is a slow process and requires work and time invested.
This is why I like the S2 - it makes me work and THINK again.
The only time schedule is the one you assign yourself.

Really impressive. And I'm glad that you are still posting your new shots. It's great to get the viewpoint of someone with your expertise over the course of a few weeks, rather than just an initial impression from the first day or two of ownership.
