After perusing a lot of comments and "Should I buy the SD500/500?" (same essential camera), I decided that maybe I should provide a link to my website so you can review literally THOUSANDS of photos taken with both my first SD500, my replacement SD500, and a couple of cameras I've had over the past year and a half, including a Panasonic DMC-FX9 and a Nikon D70 DSLR.

I can say, unequivocally, that the SD500 is a FANTASTIC piece of work. If you take a lot of outdoor shots, landscapes, etc., you will be very pleased.

Is it perfect for everything? No, sometimes there's a red-eye problem with indoor flash shots, sometimes not. Sometimes colors look a little goofy, mostly they come out perfect.

One caveat to the SD500 photos on my/our site, MOST were taken by either me, lefthanded, from a moving motorcycle, or by my friend's girlfriend from the back of his moving motorcycle.

The photos speak for themselves.
