For those of you asking what the video quality of the Canon S2 IS is like I have added a link to a short video. The video from the S2 is possibly one of the cameras few good qualities.

The video is a typical construction work day and was compressed to just over 3 megs. for viewing on the net.

(note: The original video is a few hundred megs and was COMPRESSED for quick downloading)

I take it the video was funny/ good ? Did you enjoy it and what did you think of the quality considering it was compressed to a little over 3 megs and was resized to I belive 320/ ?

Explains alot like the quality is poor ?

Much better then download a video that is a few hundred megs no ?

Hello everybody,

I'm proud to anounce that my son was born last sunday on 19:50. He was 4.5 weeks to early, but everthing is perfect with him. So I'm glad that I had my S2 on time.

Now I have a big question (before my HD is full):

To which format could I convert the AVI without losing quality? At the moment I'm taking almost 1 GB a day of little movies. (640x480) Further I want to be able to use them on a DVD player later on.MPG2 I tried, but this one is still only half of the original file.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000" I'd like to know this too.. I was planning on popping the full files onto dvd.. along withi my minidv fotage all in order.. I was assuming it was going to be straight forward.. guess we'll find out..lol
