Well i`ve been out testing the S2 and decided to try the snow mode under scenes modes..it works really well...it does a great job at removing the bluish ting on snow in the pics...and exposes very well....here`s a couple of pics,,i must add that it has gone up to +13 here and almost all snow is gone again,,,been very mild this winter....i like the second shot in the woods the most..

"Snow" mode works well!

Is the park in the second shot in Moncton?

Yes,,jockscott,,,it was taken at the McLaughlin Nature Park,,,about 2 miles from me,,,the park is our back-up resevoir,,or it was at one time,,,they have a ton of trails going in and arround the lake,,,,i love hiking the hard trails ,toughens you up some,the easy trails are basically just a paved trail arround the outside,,,very boring...if you like walking trails you`d love it,,,water foul,Bald Eagles,and Hawks have been seen here regularily...have you ever been to Fundy National Park???,,we are thinking of going there this week and visit the Third Vault Falls,,should be spectacular with the ice build up from the last few days of cold weather...
