My first real test of this camera will be next week when my brother gets married. Anyone out there have any tips on shooting indoors in a dim light setting for a wedding?

Cheers.

One suggestion I would have for the bride and groom is to hire a professional photographer for the official wedding pictures.

If you're just taking your own pics and not the "official wedding" pics, then I'd watch the photographer and see if you can take photos right after he does while folks are still posed.

I've not shot with the S2 in a party situation. But as described in this thread:

http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...mp;forum_id=15

The more you zoom, the more light you need. So in low light you might want to get closer and use less zoom. You might need to take the ISO off auto to get control of the noise. If the light is really bad, then flash is going to be needed - so practise up on flash.

This is a very wide question - and maybe no one here has done a wedding. Why not search forums and google for general info on photographing weddings and then ask specific S2 IS questions back here.
