I just got an SD450. I noticed that if I zoom in, the LCD display slows down. And if I zoom in fully, the display slows down tosomething like 5-10fps with a lot of blurring. I also noticed that if I aim at something bright, like a light, the display speeds up. Is this normal?

I just tied this with my new SD450 and the display refresh does vary. I found it not to be related to zoom setting as much as the brightness of the subject (shutter speed). The display would slow on dark subjects at any zoom setting I tried.

Thanks for the reply. I played around with it some more last night and noticed the same thing. I really don't know much about photography. I was zooming in on the far wall of a dimly lit room, so I guess at 3x zoom, 1/9 of the original light was getting to the sensor and the shutter speed would have to adjust significantly, so that sort of makes sense.
