Check out lensmateonline.com. They sell other brands of adapters. You can see sample images for the Canon brand as well as some of the others.

I second the advice on lensmate. I ordered a couple of Hoya filters and the 52mm adapter for my S3 from them.

I goofed on the shipping address and made a mess of my order and still had my stuff in under a week. They were great to do business with and I highly recommend them.

Thanks to all.
Regarding tele converters, I downloaded the pictures from the lensmate site and found thatCanonTC-DC58B 1.5x58mm telewith Canon S2IS is better than any other tele lens includingOlympus TCON17 1.7x 55 they have provided. I cut & changedthe image sizeof CanonTC-DC58B 1.5x58mm's picture to match the other picturesin Photoshop and found that CanonTC-DC58B 1.5x58mm tele is sharper and clear and thought to purchase it. But yesterday I happened to see about Sony VCL-DH1758 withCanonS2IS.

Now Sony VCL-DH1758 tele or CanonTC-DC58B 1.5x58mm tele. - Which is retter?, So cananybodyadvice me that Sony VCL-DH1758 tele producebetter sharp and quality pictures than CanonTC-DC58B 1.5x58mm telewith Canon S2IS?

Are there any problems in focusing Sony VCL-DH1758 tele with Canon S2IS?

Which adapter you used? CanI use Lensmate 58mmadapter?

Sony VCL-DH1758'Zoomed back to the point at which vignetting begins' withCanon S2IS will cover more area than S2'smaximumzoom range of 432mmcovering area? Please advice in detail. If possible with pictures.

Regarding wide angle converters for Canon S2IS, I downloaded the pictures from the lensmate site and corrected the barrellel distortion and found that Canon WC-DC58N .7X 58mmgivesbetter result with good corner to corner sharpness quality pictures and covers more area than Canon WC-DC58A .7X 58mm. And Raynox DCR 6600PROcovers more areathan Canon WC-DC58N .7X 58mmwithoutbarrellel distortion, but with blurred and soft corner/side pictures.I came to this conclusion with the provided pictures only. Experienced persons can advice.

Thank you danielg for the advice.

You might want to use a smaller font as it looked like you are shouting your head off.

Thanks for the white paper link..

Dumb newb. question. How does the telephoto/converter attach to the s3 itself? to the moving part of the lens, or the solid ring. How solid (or unlikely to fall/bump off) is the connection?

Hello, let me tell you that you won´t have any focusing issues with the sony tele, and the quality of the pictures is great.

Also take into consideration that is a 1.7x tele against the canon with only 1.5x.

:-)
