Looks like your A620 has a worse-than-normal case of barrel distortion. Most P&Sers have this to varying degrees, but yours looks particularly bad. Any chance you can exchange your A620 for another one?

I don't think it is so much barrel distortion but more likely you are tilting the camera up as your shoot.

I just did a little skewing in photoshop stretching the upper corners of the picure outwards and upwards (creating a trapezoida shape.) This was done quickly so it could use more fine tuning on the full resolution image.

Just wanted to give you a little better idea of what I did. The pink area represents the area which is stretched beyond the original image.

Canonfodder, nice work on the skew - and great username!

I had an A85 until recently - ebay'd it and am waiting on an A620 now - and have taken pictures similar to happycat's. Although I did experience some barrel distortion, happycat's does seem excessive to me - even after your really great fix, there is some geometric inconsistency. Maybe its the combination of the barrelling and the angle at which the photos (particularly the top one) were taken.

I should be receiving my A620 either tomorrow or Tuesday. I'll take a similar picture to see how it matches happycat's.
