I bought my S3 last week and love it.

I have been trying to use the Super Macro function and have not been able to get it to work. I can get to macro (by pushing the macro button on the side of the camera). It says to use Super macro - just hold the button for one second. So far -- I have not been able to get it to go to Super.

Any help woud be appreciated.

edited to say - I figured out I needed to not be in Auto mode to use it.

Hi...I dont own the S3 IS yet but plan to buy one soon. I think that you can only use super macro in the full wide position. Is the lens zoomed out at all?

The super macro won't work in the auto mode. I use it in the Av mode without any telephoto application. If you use it often, you might consider having your super macro settings "memorized" in the C mode. I've done thisand it comes in quite handy for quickly changing the settings to this application.Enjoy your new S3!
