Hi,

How do I create a portrait with the subject in focus and background out of focus or blurred with S2 IS? I tried the portrait mode but it didn't work? Can anyone pleasehelp me out?

Thanks,
Sangeeth

Use AV mode, set to a large aperture (small f#) and focus on your subject carefully.

it also helps if your subject is farther in front of the background. If they are with in a couple of feet of what ever is behind them the background will also be in focus.
