Hi,

I'm considering buying one of the A6XX cameras.

One thing I can't find is about the memory card that I'll need to buy to go along with it. What speed should I get? there are SD cards of x60 and up to x133 or even x150.

Will I notice any difference in performance?

Is there a limit the cameras can not exceed even ifI'd have a super card of unlimited speed?

What is the optimal speed for a memory card for these two models?

ThanX in advance

Don't know if there is a definitive answer to this........no doubt someone will now come up with one..........however,I would go fora reasonably fast card simply to ensure thatmemory buffering doesn't become an issue during Continuous Shooting mode or in Movie Mode.

I don't think you need to get the fastest cards around as that's overkill and the internal memory buffer of the camera has its own limit which might negate any performance associated with the fastest possible cards.

So go for something like the Sandisk Ultra. At 60x that speed should be adequate.

I use a "cheapo" A Data brand 2Gb 50x card I bought from newegg for $37.99. High speed movie mode runs fine with this card and I have used cont shot mode without a hiccup. Before I would buy the Ultra and mega speed high price cards...not this time with this camera.

ThanX for the replies.

I am surprised that we can't find out what the camera's limitations are with regards to speed iw writing to memory.

Do companies disclose this info at all?

Does anybody knwo where to find this about the A620 or A610?
