Hey all, I am normally a Kodak user, so I'm quite unsure about Canon's lines of cameras. However after checking out Kodak's line of ultra compacts I was dissapointed and decided to check here.

The Canon SD600 was quite appealings to me, but before I buy it, I wanted to know what else Canon has. So basically I want a very compact camera (similar in size to the tiny SD series cameras) and it must have an optical viewfinder. Would the SD line be my best bet, or does Canon make a better (possibly cheaper) line of cameras?

(Note, I do prefer using SD cards (seeing as I have about 3GB worth of it lying around), but I could be convinced to switch formats if necessary)

I answered your other post as well. I forgot to mention that the optical viewfinder wa also a very big selling point for me too.

The Sony Cybershots have my attention. I like the non-extending lens design so you can put it back in the pocket without turning the power off.

I guess I'm not sure why you want the power on when it is in your pocket? :-)

Thank you all for the tips.

And I pretty much rule out all Sony cameras unless they are absolutely incredible and far cheaper than competitors (not likely, Sony is expensive)... it just really bugs me how they use there own memory format (Memory Stick Duos and what not) just to suck more money out of you, and it has no real advantages over SD and/or Compact Flash.
