It was discussed in this thread that some Casio, originally European market models came with a artificially set 10 minute limit.
http://forums.steves-digicams.com/ca...imitation.html Now, my EX-Z700 that broke had in camera editing and there was no artificial limit. The EX-Z300 I got to replace this with has a 10 minute limit. It is not mentioned in the manual. From the 1-800 number given on the sticker inside, I think it's a US model, however I think the camera itself is built to world-wide spec now. If it's got a 10 minute limit, so be it, but CASIO NEEDS TO COME CLEAN on this and disclose this clearly in the manual and on their website!!1 Last edited by itsme000; Sep 18, 2009 at 12:40 PM. |

Page 47 of the North American Z300 Manual states:
"Each movie can be up to 10 minutes long. Movie recording stops automatically after 10 minutes of recording." http://www.casio.com/products/Camera...oom/EX-Z300BK/ The link will send you to the Casio USA site, Z300 specification page, which states: "Movies/Recording Time/Maximum recording time per file: 10 min." Could be different in the International versions I suppose. the Hun |

The international brochure I found on one of Casio/Exilim pages didn't mention this.
