I got the S600 and quite happy with it. It produces acceptable pictures in low light and very good pictures outdoors almost everytime. But don't expect studio quality pictures. It will not happen with a slim camera like the S600. I preferred the S600 because of its ultra slim and small size and fully- loaded features except manual controls. I surprised my friends and relativessome times because they don't see me carrying a camera but I show them stolen shots when they were sleeping ackwardly, eating, and some funny moments they did not know and provided a lot of laughs later on. It is very reliable and the body is made of steel compared to plastic or aluminum. With aluminum, you can count how many times the guy dropped his camera on a hard surface because you can count the score. No problems so far with myS600 and I highly recommend it as a great all around camera to use. And you can leave your video camera at home. This camera takes good video even if you are suffering from anxiety or stress disorder because it has video stabilizer which can offer remedy for shaky hands and twitchy fingers. But there is no remedy if you sneeze. Good luck.

I have the Z600, not the S600 and agree about the picture quality and I does take some very nice photos in good light. By the way there is almost no shutter lag.

It's nearly the perfect digicam for everyday carry. Super slim, light, great screen, great movies, great battery life.
Highly recommended! Cons: macro is limited to 15cm, not very close. Low-light movies not as good as Z750 |
